Naturally Leavened Confectionery with Candied Black Cherries
A mixture of fresh eggs, whole milk, cane sugar and honey, naturally flavoured with whole Bourbon vanilla beans from Madagascar and leavened with small amounts of Filippi mother yeast, jealously guarded and kept alive with regular refreshments every day for 40 years. It is to this traditional recipe that we have added lots of whole black cherries, irregularly shaped because they are still fresh, candied for several weeks in open-air tanks. A delicious panettone, with a delicate bouquet and a sweet taste, but at the same time pleasantly sour.
